AdMob - The McDonalds Of Ads
From TechCrunch: AdMob Passes The 20 Billion Ads Served Mark
Showing that there is no limit to what can be done with a creative amount of interpretation, AdMob is on their way to showing *TRILLIONS* of impressions per month in just a few short months. I used to think that eventually everyone would catch on to this notion of the “hockey stick” in their forecasting, and just not do it. We all know it’s bull, and yet we all do it. Yet, here we are, with a perfectly good announcement, and great progress, sullied up by a ridiculous line curve fit using an exponential fit instead of linear. Removing the nerdity from that last statement, let’s just say the AdMob guys are very optimistic, and perhaps trying to hide a slowdown in their growth over the last quarter.
