Google Says China Worth $0.001 Per Person
From Mashable: Google Throws $1M At Comsenz To Dominate Chinese Market
Comsenz operates Discuz - so it’s nice to see that the web20 naming conventions have found their way to China. Google has also made its way to China, and is attempting to buy the social networking scene with this investment. With the Chinese market at 1 billion people and counting, it’s a smart play. Seeing as all social networking deals are valued on a price per person, Google values China at $0.001 per person. AOL was robbed by Bebo, reportedly paying $40 per person.
<Ed. Note: yes I know, subscribers, not total population, but that wouldn’t be nearly as funny>
